My husband and I worked with Maritza for the birth of our first baby. She was absolutely wonderful! I leaned heavily on her support in the last few weeks leading up to the birth (at almost 42 weeks), she answered all of my questions thoroughly and helped us think through all of our options and preferences so that we felt confident going into birth. She was a very calming presence in our birthing room. I ended up leaning on her less than I expected during birth (we had a great labor and delivery nurse who was very helpful) but it was great having someone there who I knew was in our corner and knew what our preferences were. I would definitely hire her again. We had a successful unmedicated vaginal delivery. She calmed a lot of my first time mom anxieties and was there for the entire process, from the moment she joined our birth team.
