I knew when we first spoke that Melissa would be a great fit for our family! I was looking for a doula that didn't press a certain agenda, and was interested in helping us make the best decisions.
Melissa provided education and resources that enabled us to determine what paths we wanted to take. We never felt pressured to do things a certain way; rather, we felt prepared and confident that the decisions we made were what was best for us, given our individual health, comfort levels, culture, etc.
We received support during pregnancy, birth and post partum. Our experience with Melissa was 100% virtual, due to Covid. Only one support person was allowed at our hospital, and Melissa's availability to us, while not "in person", was invaluable.
I cannot imagine going through the pregnancy, birth, and all that follows without a doula and, more specifically, without Melissa. We are forever grateful for her knowledge and her advocacy on our behalf.
