I just moved to Vernon and found out we were expecting. Since I had no family or friends around I started looking into Doulas and Woven Birth came up. When I had the initial meeting with Stephanie prior to hiring her i just loved her energy and heard nothing but great things about her. I really liked that she had 2 different packages to choose from and also offered the Hypnobirthing classes. As a first time mom I had no idea what to do/expect during pregnancy, let alone labour and doctor appointments. Stephanie helped me to navigate all of those, the Hypnobirthing classes made the thought of labour exciting and beautiful; it helped me to feel prepared and relaxed for it. When I finally went into labour Stephanie was right there with me the entire time. She helped me to make informed decisions and explain what my Dr was suggesting about being induced, sweeps, etc... My labour and birth was nothing what I had planned - having prodromal labour for 2 days before finally going into labour and having to have an emergency csection. Stephanie was there to help make me comfortable each day/night anytime we called her and she even met us at the hospital each false alarm. After my csection Stephanie made sure to connect the next day and make sure baby and I were ok and came to visit us as soon as she could. She is always quick to respond to any questions and share her own experiences. Stephanie is an amazing person and knowledgeable Doula and I would recommend her to everyone. She helped me feel relaxed and confident about my pregnancy and labour journey, she truly cares about each one of her clients and their spouses and babies. Having Stephanie as a Doula was one of the best choices I have made bringing my baby into this world and would hire her again in a heartbeat if we decide to have another one in the future.
