I am so grateful we hired Barbie. I loved having a knowledgeable, non-judgmental person on my side. I could ask her for advice on anything during my pregnancy, labor, or afterwards and she was there to guide me. She talked me through my gestational diabetes diagnosis, suggested specialists to see to get ready for labor, taught my husband and I exercises to do together. Besides our in person visits during, I could call her or text her whenever I needed her advice. She provided support during the pregnancy which made me feel more confident about my upcoming labor. She couldn’t be in the hospital with us due to COVID restrictions but she was available by phone throughout. Afterwards, Barbie provided post partum support which again made me feel supported and emotionally cared for. I am so grateful I had Barbie by my side. She made me feel confident and cared for during my pregnancy. Having Barbie as our doula was the best decision I made for myself and my unborn baby.
