This is a copy of the thank-you note I mailed to Midwest Doulas after my daughter's birth.
Dear Justine, Ale, and Erin,
I cannot thank you enough for the truly exceptional care and support you provided (and the kindness you showed) just before, during, and after my daughter Nina's birth on Jan. 8, 2021. You three (especially my wonderful Ale) are magical at what you do, which is to make clients feel cared for and supported, but also empowered, encouraged, listened to, and kept safe during their most vulnerable moments. I remember feeling a deep, dark sense of impending fear while pregnant -- and then, just as quickly as it came, it left again. I will always remember how you made me feel during the night of Nina's birth. You were a huge part of why I am now able to look back on that night with such fondness, joy, and pride. Keep doing what you're doing. Our local community needs top-notch care providers like you. Warmest regards.
I hope to be pregnant again at least once more and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else except Woodwinds Hospital with Dr. Ryan Dick and Midwest Doulas by my side.
