Bethany is an exceptional doula. From our prenatal visits to the birth, and postpartum check-ins, she was helpful, informative, compassionate and essential. During our prenatal visits, she helped us plan our birth, think through all of our options, and provided us with resources and materials to make informed decisions. We chose to give birth at home with midwives, with whom she worked incredibly well. She was available to us as soon as we needed to call her during labour, and stayed with us until hours after the birth. She was an absolutely essential part of our birthing team, providing me with continued physical and emotional support through contractions, reminding me to breath, helping me through the pain, and offering position changes, different comfort measures, and making sure we stayed fed and hydrated. She provided amazing emotional and practical support for my husband as well, helping him to support me, providing guidance, and working seamlessly with him as a team to support me through the process. Her technical knowledge is outstanding, and her attention to detail and record keeping helped us fill in important details of our birth after the fact. Bethany could not be better suited to be a doula, as her calm, compassionate, focused demeanour made me feel so supported and safe.
