Having Christine as a Doula was invaluable to me and my husband throughout my journey through pregnancy and labor. Christine was great at checking in with me and providing advice, recommendations and reassurance for an anxious first time mom like myself. Not only did I have a 42 week long pregnancy, but also a 43 hour labor (28 in a birthing center and then needing to transfer to the hospital) and having a knowledgeable person in my corner to be there through the whole experience, read the room, advocate for me and make sure my worries were addressed and things were properly explained to me through the process when I'm not a super outspoken person was so needed and appreciated. Not only was she there for me, but she was there for my husband and making sure he felt involved and needed as well as giving him moments to rest. Christine came into my labor after attending another over 48 hour labor with little to no sleep and I never felt like she wasn't giving me absolute support, thoughtfulness and love throughout my entire (also very long and grueling) process of delivering my baby. Having Christine as a doula really showed me how essential it is to have that extra support through the journey of pregnancy and delivery and I would definitely have her again in the future ??
