As you can imagine it’s not a happy occasion to receive a negative review, and I count myself blessed to not have had any on here until now. I wish the desired outcome for this client could have been realized but unfortunately, when choosing a provider for an attempted VBAC, it is IMPERATIVE to choose one who is genuinely VBAC friendly. This is something SO important that I even go over it before being hired during the interview process . I can educate and encourage my clients to find the best fit in a provider during prenatals but when labor starts all I can do is provide physical and emotional support, offer comfort measures and hold space for the choices my client has made.
Although I could go on to address each complaint , I will simply ask that the other 141 positive testimonials be considered if you are thinking about contacting me. Hiring a doula is definitely improving your chances against having a C Section but is sadly no guarantee.
I gave this client 100% of my skills, efforts and experience and am sorry that wasn’t enough for her to have not left such a dissatisfied review. I’m afraid my efforts to try to connect further have been ignored but I will continue to wish them all the best with their newest addition.
