My husband and I are so thankful to Shannon for the education and support she provided us throughout our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods. After the very traumatic birth of my daughter seven years ago, I was fearful to do it all again. Shannon gave me the confidence to attempt a VBAC, and I was able to do so in one of the most amazing and healing experiences of my life. She also included my husband in a major role in the process, so he felt like he wasn't just on the sidelines during our baby's birth.
Shannon feels like part of our family now. She is compassionate and advocates for you every step of the way. She was available to answer questions, share a meal, and checked on us once we were home from the hospital. The resources she provided were so helpful to having an informed pregnancy and birth. She also helped out when I needed to find a supportive provider (not the easiest task after a previous c-section in Central Illinois). We opted to have the placenta encapsulated, and she was at our house with the capsules within days of us getting home from the hospital.
I cannot imagine having my daughter without Shannon's guidance and advocacy! She helped heal the wounds from my first birth experience, and I will definitely employ her services with any future pregnancies!
