I had no idea what I was doing or what I was even in for..... it was a long journey for me. First time mom, first time completing pregnancy, and a single mother (me that is). I remember asking Telia if she was a doula, she responded yes! I thought at that moment she is going to be my doula even if she said she wouldn't. I asked to set up an appointment and we met at the time and date that we scheduled. I was so terrified because during the pandemic ?? I knew that I couldn't have who I wanted in the delivery room. I called around to see if my doula could be there. She could be there and I was over joyed!!! I called Telia about everything, I still do! No matter the time of day, she would respond to my million questions about random things that have to do with babies, specifically my little one. She made me feel like no question was a stupid question, she helped me understand that she was my advocate in the hospital room. Telia helped me deliver my beautiful baby girl.
