Rosa supported my first birth with my son who was prematurely born at 28 weeks 4 days. She was attentive, supportive & more importantly non judgemental. My partner and I were young. She helped lovingly engage my partner in supporting me throughout the birth. She came to my aide, right away. I never knew what a doula was, and I'm sure glad my first experience was with her. When I felt my anxiety & nerves start to raise Rosa helped keep me grounded and focused. at the time lacked support & I felt as if Rosa filled a void as "mama" it was respectful, professional, loving, supportive, and non judgemental. I went "hunting" for Rosa & I found her. I messaged her my concerns, and she was available to me at all costs. Again, no matter what she made me feel like I had someone in my corner. At 27 my water had broken, Rosa rushed to the hospital spent 12 hours with me kept me calm, kept me grounded, kept my partner engaged, helped him support me through my contractions, made him feel like he was important. Rosa answered 2nd ring with her loving voice, and I told her, she rushed over and showed up within 30 min. My first labour I would say was beautiful, calming, grounded, and overall pretty quiet. However this one, I had 2 major panic attacks, my body was convulsing, I thought I was dying, and what did Rosa do? She reminded me of my strength, she reminded me how I'm a good mom, she reminded me I'm SAFE. She made me feel emotionally supported with a absolutely no judgement. At about 8 am labour stopped. But once again, Rosa showed up. Made me feel the same each time, If you're thinking of a doula I highly suggest Rosa. Although this is DEFINITELY my last pregnancy. I'm glad Rosa walked into my life. Thank you Rosa for everything you've done for my family and I.Even though I'm still pregnant when the time comes I know you'll be there with your calming voice reminding me how I can do this.
