During delivery it felt like I had a trusted friend there with me, she made me feel so strong and empowered that I pushed for less than 20 minutes before my little boy was in the world.
Maria also always made sure that I understood and fully consented to everything that the doctors were telling me during my labor. It was so comforting to have her there to remind me that I could labor how I felt most comfortable.
