If you are second guessing rather you have a doula or not, trust me you definitely need one.
Before I hired Clara, I had no idea what the primary purpose of a Doula. I used to think it was quite similar to a midwife. Little did I know how indispensable that would be for my whole pregnancy journey not only for my physical health but beyond that, my mental support .
First, the initial visits, all the information before labor, the talk through the whole pregnancy making sure you are on the right state of mind. 24/7 availability to ask questions and to talk to her. Sometimes just to vent. She is there to listen, to calm you, to make your fears go away.
During labor, she is there to focus you. And believe me when I say you will need this. When you are experiencing contractions your body shuts down and you will benefit her guidance.
Clara has nursing background that combined with her amazing personality makes her the perfect doula.
She was incredible valuable for me during pregnancy, labor and after labor. Making sure to check upon us to ensure we were ok and always offering support.
