Hidayah is amazing!! She's incredibly knowledgeable, patient, a calming presence, and truly and indispensable force to have at your side for your birthing journey. At both of our prenatal visits, she calmly explained the purpose of the comfort exercises and made sure not to move on from each activity (putting together a birth plan, talking through concerns, etc.) While all the COVID-19 updates were going on, she stayed up to date with the changes and let us know what we could expect in terms of if and how she'd be present at our birth at our hospital of choice. She checked in with us after each and every doctor's appointment. When it came time for our birth, she quickly got back to us and got to us quickly to labor with us at our home. She was great at keeping us calm and giving us pep talks throughout my 36~ hours of labor, and when we got to the hospital she was so helpful in working with the midwives and nurses to make sure my husband, our baby, and I were comfortable and supported the entire time until baby arrived. Every single person at the hospital wanted us to her you know they loved working with her and that she was "one of the best doulas they've ever worked with" and they told us if we have another kid to definitely bring her back ?????? please PLEASE don't hesitate to consider having Hidayah with you throughout your birth journey! You will be so so glad you did.
