I think having a baby is one of the biggest decisions you can make in life. Personally, I had no idea what to expect during the birthing process, but I knew I wanted to have as much experience and knowledge available during such an important time. I can honestly say Rebecca knew exactly what to do and when to do it. She made our experience much more enjoyable and was also able to capture our special day so we will have pictures and an amazing video to enjoy for the rest of our lives.
If you are a father that is concerned about having a doula, I can relate. When my wife said she wanted a doula I was skeptical and almost felt that the doula would interfere with my experience as a husband/father. I can say my experience was the exact opposite. Rebecca did a great job of letting me be as involved as I wanted and helped when we needed without it feeling invasive. Even when she was taking pictures and video, we hardly knew she was there. Her experience kept my wife comfortable and when the baby was not descending through the pelvis correctly, Rebecca knew exactly how to get the baby to turn and pass through the pelvis. Having a doula is worth every penny and you won't regret it.
