We had an incredibly positive, natural first birth experience, and we have one of the birth team cornerstones to thank for that: Rebecca! Her wonderful support was readily available throughout our pregnancy, including recommendations when I chose to switch from OBGYN/hospital care to midwife/birth center care. Rebecca did a tremendous job of providing guidance and comfort throughout labor and delivery, including intuitively knowing when to actively participate and when to “hold the space” so that my husband and I could share special moments together. Her warm presence made me feel safe and relaxed due to her wealth of experience and calm, positive demeanor. She was key in helping our labor move along when our pushing phase was slow to progress, and after following her suggestion we got things rolling within three contractions! The photos Rebecca took and birth video she created for us were stunning, and they captured our birth experience in a way that words and memory could never measure up to. We are so grateful to have had her at our side for the labor and delivery of our firstborn child, and if we are lucky enough to need a doula again someday, we hope we can team up with Rebecca again! We highly recommend Rebecca to anybody who is looking for support during their birth experience and/or for someone to capture treasured moments on camera that will last a lifetime!
