My experience with Kelly was nothing short of WONDERFUL. I had a c-section with my first child and knew right away if we were to have more children I wanted a vaginal birth. From that point I did all the research and so many things mentioned hiring a doula which I was clueless about. I found and interviewed a few doulas I met through social media (and this was all during covid stuff). My interview with Kelly was over facetime but I knew immediately she was the one for me. She was confident and funny and I could tell she not only knew her stuff when it came to birth but she was passionate about it too. AND and was pumped about helping me get a VBAC. I was pretty calm most my pregnancy and did not need a lot of care or talks until my last 2 weeks when the anxiety set in- and she was there to reassure me. Honestly up to this point I was kinda still wondering why I needed a doula when I would have my midwife and husband but kept on because thats was all the podcasts said to do. ha! when it came to labor though- THANK THE LORD I HAD KELLY. Seriously, she was hands down my biggest help, my favorite person, and my angel. She had me in different positions, did counter pressure, and sensed my needs. I swear I loved my husbands and midwives help but its Kelly that really helped me through the dreaded back labor and everthing that happened that night. She was the one who gave me some much needed tough love when I was feeling too weak to push and needed someone to get close to my face, look me in the eyes, and tell me to PUSH NOW and that I was strong enough to do it. She also stayed after the baby was born a long time to chat with us, answer questions, and help navigate dealing with hospital stuff which was so brilliant. I swear my husband and I recommend her 150% and we would hire her over and over.
