Shannon was recommended by our midwife for her doula services. We met via zoom and my husband and I were impressed. She has this calming vibe about her, confident in her knowledge and experience. Shannon provided us with numerous resources and really focused on what we wanted for our birth experience. Although I had a fast labor lasting just under 2 hours, the short amount of time Shannon was there, she was essential in calming my husband and I. She was able to help me refocus and get in a more comfortable position. Moments later, my husband caught our babe in the tub, right before our midwife walked in. We had our home water birth- just like we envisioned.
Although this was my third baby, it was my first home birth, and hiring Shannon was completely worth it! I only wish I had her with me for my first two!
