The birth of my son was not an easy one. I labored for 6 days (I know, right) & was in the hospital for a total of 10 days. A huge part of making this process bearable was the fact that I had an amazing doula supporting me throughout the entire ordeal. I found her later in my pregnancy ( 31weeks) but because of the amount of support I got prior, during, and postpartum- it felt like she’d been with me the entire time. From weekly meetings to educational resources, labor techniques, breathing exercises, even installing my car seat while I was in labor- Sanyika was absolutely amazing and did it all!! .
As a black Woman I was so afraid to have my son in a traditional hospital setting. Sanyika eliminated all of my fears and made my birth one to remember.
