From the moment we started our interview with Justine, we knew she was the Doula for us! She was kind, warm, passionate, non-judgemental and a fun human to talk too.
The conversations leading up to our birth were extremely helpful in being as comfortable as possible during pregnancy, creating a birth plan, knowing what to expect during labor, and preparing for breastfeeding. She had evidence based information to support answers to my questions and was knowledgeable on anything that was asked or discussed.
Comfort measures with Ale were extremely helpful - she did an amazing job teaching the proper techniques through a Zoom call!
During labor, Justine was absolutely amazing! She was comforting, instructive and had our best interests and wants in mind. She added so much benefit and help to our experience. Because she was there providing helpful instruction on breathing and positioning, my partner was able to focus solely on comforting me and the midwives could focus on delivering our baby. Justine made me feel so empowered and well taken care of - I couldn’t imagine a pregnancy and birth without her! We are so grateful, thank you Midwest Doulas!
