I am very happy that we chose to have Midwest Doulas as part of our birth. During this uncertain time, we almost went without a doula, not knowing whether they would be allowed in the hospital. Thankfully, the rules were relaxed and Ale was able to join us for our labor and birth.
Ale was constantly helpful with back-pushing to relieve my pain, hydration, and food. She moved me around and helped my labor progress. If she wasn’t there I’m certain I would have labored in one position and probably would have needed an epidural if not a C-section. After my labor, they have been there to support me in many ways. Justine was very helpful with breastfeeding advice, and Ale checked in often to make sure my recovery was going well.
I highly recommend hiring a doula in general if you’re on the fence, and Midwest Doulas in particular if you’re already looking. Worth every cent.
