Katie and Suzi provided us with incredible support before, during and after the birth. There were many moments when I was honestly floored by how amazing it was to have their support, from having a sounding board for making decisions and getting the peace and reassurance we needed, to clarifying for myself what my hopes were for the birth, to help processing difficult news, to books I could borrow that would help me prepare mentally and emotionally, to having someone to document and then debrief the experience with, to continued support after our baby boy arrived. Thanks to our conversations with them ahead of time, my husband and I felt so safe, respected, free and cared for during the birth, and it was a more positive experience than I could have even imagined.
