My husband and I hired Marcia for the birth of our second and third child. We feel so fortunate that she was able to play such an integral part in both those journeys. Her compassion, knowledge, encouragement, and dedication to her client and their birth journey is truly amazing. The phone calls and home visits she made pre and post baby helped to make me feel at ease during my journey and empowered me as new mother.
Breastfeeding was something I struggled with after my first child and a journey I wanted to make successful for my other children. Marcia was a God-send with this process, not only did she help me re-learn the skill, she set me up for success during that golden hour after my second child was born. She assisted with the initial latch and made sure baby was getting adequate supply of colostrum.
Not only did Marcia help me but she helped my husband as well. Having her in the hospital during my labor allowed my husband to take an active and supportive role in the labor and birth of our children. Her knowledge of the birth process helped us navigate through those last-minute labor decisions and while reminding us of our birth plan protocol.
We are so thankful for Marcia and we highly recommend her as a doula!
