Having a doula as part of our birth experience was by far the best decision we made in regards to our birth plan. We met Yaheli only a few weeks before we actually gave birth to our baby at Ashford Presbyterian Hospital. Even though it was such a short time we felt super comfortable with her and knew it was the right decision.
We checked in to the hospital the night before the day we gave birth and she met us at the hospital as soon as we checked in. So basically she was pretty much there with us for about 20 hours! She I was honestly feeling very anxious and quite nervous! She was so comforting and reassuring that it really put me at ease. She knew exactly what to do during the contractions, was familiar with all the hospital protocol and was able to help us get what we needed. She also knew a lot of the staff and nurses and had worked with our Gyno before which all made us even more comfortable. Truly an amazing liaison to have. She was a great support to my husband and my little sister (baby's godmother) as it was the first birth for all of us!
After the birth she was actively sending us information of what to expect in the first few days and weeks. She is a wealth of information when it comes to all aspects of postpartum, breast feeding, and everything baby related.
She will forever be Titi Yaya to our little Lu and part of our family. Thankyou so much Yaya! We are so fortunate to have had you with us during such a special time and so happy how everything worked out <3
