I can’t say enough good things about Kelly. She was absolutely essential to our birth story and I don’t think we could’ve done it without her. Not only did she help us prepare for the big day in advance and make herself available for questions, but she also helped when I had a coronavirus scare and was instructed by my doctor to go straight to the hospital. Kelly used her contacts at the hospital to make sure my husband could come with me and helped calm me down as I was terrified that I was sick and also was going to have to give birth that day, weeks early. (Fortunately, I did not have the virus or have to deliver that night!) She had an answer for me in minutes. I think it is a true testament to her character and efficacy that she is so well respected by doctors and hospital staff. Of course, Kelly also shone when I was actually in labor. She suggested different pushing positions, making my efforts more effective, to help my sunny side up baby make his way out naturally and without intervention. She also supported us in the best ways, guiding my husband at times, and whispering words of encouragement in my ear when I thought I was spent. Finally, the photos and birth timeline were a joy to receive, especially during a time when family was not allowed to come to the hospital.
