Laurie was an essential part of our pregnancy, labor, and delivery. During the pregnancy portion, she curated resources tailored to our questions and needs; walked us through all the potential "game day" scenarios; helped us more effectively communicate with our OB; and relieved us of any pressure to come with a birth plan, as she knew all of our preferences ahead of time. When I went into labor, Laurie was the first person I called. She coached me on what to do from the start and provided a calming presence throughout. We loved that she knew Swedish First Hill inside and out. Not only did she help guide us, but she also provided direction for the nurses in our birthing suite when needed. Right after our daughter was born, Laurie calmed me as the NICU team ensured all of the fluid came out of our baby's lungs. An added bonus was the fantastic photos Laurie took with my phone. Further, Laurie helped me figure out what was going on with my headache days after delivery. Once that was taken care of, she gave me the most incredible--and much-needed--postpartum massage. We would not hesitate to work with Laurie again, should the opportunity present itself. Her expertise and personality made this whole process pretty damn great!
