I chose to have a doula present at my birth because I really wanted a natural, unmedicated, low intervention experience. I chose Kelly after interviewing multiple Doula's because of her knowledge and reach in the birth/postpartum community. She seemed to have endless information and contacts for whatever I might need. She also has the ability to provide a kind but "tough love" approach (I am sure she is able to cater her approach to individual needs), but that was what I needed and she amd I knew it. She was available and supportive before birth, guided me in different directions with the changing landscape due to COVID19. We ended up with a home birth and I truly feel Kelly was instrumental in shortening the duration of my labor by hours. She was, and is still available weeks after the birth of my daughter if I need anything. I would recommend Kelly to any pregnant woman no matter what your birth plan is. She will help you by providing education, resources, and will advocate for you.
