I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Laurie Levy as a doula! Laurie was the second doula we interviewed and we didn't look further - we knew she was a perfect fit. The value of her expertise was immediately evident. In the interview alone she provided helpful tips and suggested an important question for my OB/GYN. As our pregnancy progressed it became clear that COVID-19 restrictions would affect things. Laurie adapted her services so well, and we really appreciated her continuing commitment during such a tumultuous time. We had multiple Zoom meetings with her to prepare for birth. She helped us understand many scenarios that could play out, which proved incredibly helpful. For example, we had one potentially alarming moment during delivery that would have had me in a panic had Laurie not walked us through the scenario weeks earlier. She took copious notes on our preferences and personalities and applied her knowledge during labor, which helped us work through some unexpected decisions that day. Throughout delivery she helped ensure I was comfortable, helping with positions, massage, and making really helpful suggestions. All with kindness and a great sense of humor. We're so happy Laurie was a part of our daughter's birth!
