Liza was such a joy to work with! I chose Liza over other Doulas because when I first met with her, I loved how down to earth she was. She has a very calming presence and I knew I would need that during the birth of our son. Also, she teaches prenatal yoga and I started going to her yoga classes, which were wonderful!
During labor, I was in "labor land" so I don't remember much. But I do remember her whispering encouragement to me and holding onto my hips to ease the pain. She worked in tandem with my partner, Dan, and I felt supported throughout the entire labor process up until I needed an emergency c-section due to issues with the umbilical cord.
After the birth, Liza came to visit to see how we were doing at the hospital. And she also made a house visit when we got home to offer some support as well. She also loaned me some great books, which really helped when I needed to reference something.
