We are so grateful that we had Ciara as our doula and would highly recommend her. I gave birth during the Coronavirus outbreak, so the intense experience of delivering a baby felt more overwhelming because I was only allowed to have her and my husband with me in hospital.
From when we first met her, Ciara was calming, welcoming, and empathetic. Once the hospitals started increasing their restrictions, Ciara was on top of things and would check in on me to see how I was doing in the weeks leading up to delivery.
During labor and delivery, Ciara had a great intuiton about what we needed. When my husband was unsure about how to help, she coached him on what he could do. When I was struggling, she encouraged me in a caring, but firm way. In additon to that, she took beautiful photos of the delivery and our baby that we could share with family who weren't allowed to visit us in the hospital.
After our baby was born, Ciara checked in with us multiple times. When we had some questions about baby's fussiness, she was a wealth of knowledge. She was so helpful to have throughout the whole process (and my husband says "I don't know what we would have done without her.") I would strongly recommend Ciara to any mother looking for that extra support!
