In other words, when I had a question or medical concern, she not only had evidence based information, but she knew how to put me at ease. She also equipped me with the best ways to communicate my needs to my health care providers. I especially appreciate how dynamic she is. She does not reject anything because it's necessarily 'medical' or 'natural'. She never prescribed a way of dealing with something but gave me information so that I could arrive at my own decisions. I felt agency during my pregnancy and labor and I can't imagine anything more important. Her attentiveness and support during my post birth exceeded my expectations.
