I am so glad Maria was with me during the birth of my fourth child. I was in early labor for several hours, Maria came right away and helped me relax even though contractions were really spaced out. When we got to the hospital she gave me massage, dimmed the lights and turned on some relaxing music, she knew exactly what to do! After finding out my baby was asynclytic, and my doctor told me that it could take several hours to progress and maybe 3 hours to push, I was mortified. Maria helped keep me and my partner calm, and she recommended postions and used her rebozo to help baby get in position. 1 hour later baby was born! Maria helped me latch baby and stayed for several hours. I could not have done it without her.
