Initially my husband and I did not consider a doula, but after several friends highly recommended a doula we decided to meet with Nathalie. Nathalie is very knowledgable and had lots of useful information to share with us. After meeting with Nathalie we decided she would be a great resource to us during the birth of our first child. During the entire pregnancy Nathalie was always available for questions I may have had. She also met with us at our home to go through several useful techniques to use during birth. After meeting with her several times, my husband and I felt ready!
During labor Nathalie knew exactly what to say and how to guide me and my husband. She let us lead the way, but knew exactly what to say or do when we needed extra guidance. Our son was born with some breathing complications and was taken away quite quickly after birth. Nathalie was able to stay with me while my husband was able to go to the NICU to be our son. Nathalie knew exactly what to say to me to keep me calm and at ease while. Nathalie is a great doula and we are very glad she was there to guide us through the birth of our first son. Despite the rough start, Nathalie made our experience positive!
