Elysia empowered my husband and I to feel better prepared for the many unknowns of giving birth. She got to know us and understood our desired experience so she could advise accordingly. She helped me through pregnancy pains and coached me so that was able to labor at home for fifteen and half hours before heading to the hospital. This is exactly what I wanted to do so that I was in the hospital for the active labor portion only. She was there when I got my epidural and by my side until our baby girl arrived 5 hours later. Having her support was invaluable to our labor experience! It was also comforting to have her check in postpartum as well. She was a true advocate which is what I needed!
