Throughout our whole birth process (before, during, and after), Amy had this amazing ability to combine knowledge with grace. Never once did she tell us what to believe or do, but she simply answered our questions, provided the knowledge she has from her research and personal experience, and facilitated our making each and every decision along the way. The nurses at the hospital even remarked at how well she fit in during the birth, and how respectful she always was at every step-- never pushy, just a constant support. Amy helped both my husband and I feel empowered for the birth, and that was a priceless feeling. She wrote up a wonderful birth story, and even took photos for us! After my daughter was born, I kept in touch about issues I was having with breastfeeding. Amy was able to give me some "tough love" which was really instrumental in helping me make the decision to continue breastfeeding. I'm still going strong at 13 months, and much of that is due to Amy's help!
