This recommendation is well overdue. When I began my search for a doula, I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for. When I met Siena, her calming presence and abundance of knowledge assured me she was "the one." It was to my misfortune that I had a medical emergency during early labor that resulted in the death of my daughter one week later.
Siena was a remarkable person that continued to check in on me months, into a year, after my daughter passed. Surely, there is nothing one can say to take the pain away, but she comforted me in ways others could not. I am forever grateful for her companionship, and believe wholeheartedly that she would make an excellent doula regardless of one's circumstances.
