Michelle was our doula for the labour and birth of our second son. I immediately connected with her warmth, friendliness, and professionalism. She is so passionate and caring, and I could tell right away she really cared about working with families to help achieve the experience they hope for. I also appreciated that she was supportive of any path you felt was the right one to take. Leading up to delivery we met twice and talked about our hopes, preferences, and questions. This really helped me feel comfortable and prepared.
Michelle was great at keeping in touch leading up to delivery. I ended up needing to be induced. She was there right from the start. She was so good at helping me keep calm and focused. Her knowledge of massage and pressure points to help with contractions was AMAZING, it helped so much. She was a support in every single way. Delivery was extremely fast and took me by surprise which was scary. She helped me stay calm and focused and encouraged me. She also was a great support for my husband and they worked together so well.
After our little man was born Michelle was right there helping me rest, hydrate, eat, and breastfeed. Her breastfeeding knowledge and support was extremely helpful, as even though I’d done it before I couldn’t even think straight, let alone remember what to do! She made sure we felt comfortable and settled before leaving the hospital.
Michelle continued to follow up and support us once we were home too. I really appreciated her quick and thorough responses to any questions or concerns I had. She helped me feel better in times of doubt, and celebrated our victories with us.
I don’t know what we would have done without Michelle by our side. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciated her knowledge and support. She is amazing, and anyone is lucky to have her support through the wildest ride of life! Thank you Michelle <3
