Although Amy never did attend the birth on my behalf, she Facetimed with my client to get to know her a bit, texted my client to check in with her everyday, and provided both me and my client peace of mind until I could return home. It was so reassuring knowing that Amy was available to be on-call in the event that my client went into labor when I was out of town.
