Janelle is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I am convinced that is should be a requirement for all expecting mothers to have a doula. Janelle completely made my labor experience one that I will forever remember!!! I met Janelle when I was about 34 or 37 weeks I can’t remember lol I just know I was super close to being full term. Immediately Janelle and I connected. She is extremely professional and personable at the same time. Extremely passionate about child birth, Janelle made sure that I was well educated about the labor process and what to expect. This woman is everything! One of the things I appreciate about her is the fact that she took the time to figure out what I wamted out of my birthing experience and gave me just that. She is extremely flexible and super positive. She does a great job at changing the narrative around labor and encourages the idea of natural birth.
The goal for my birth was to see through a water birth and I was very ADAMANT on having little to no pain medication. About 12 hours into labor I was physically and mentally exhausted. It was in this moment I knew a water birth was not likely and had to break the news to Janelle that I had decided to get an epidural. Janelle was very supportive of my decision and made me feel very comforted, knowing I felt like I had disappointed her. She was there every step of the way, from pregnancy to postpartum. This women is absolutely amazing f and I know for a FACT I will be using her again when I decided to have another little one ( long while before that happens again lol)
I HIGHLY recommend Janelle to any expecting mothers who is looking to have a supported birthing experience mentally, physically and emotionally. ??
