I knew from the beginning I wanted to hire a doula for the birth of my first child and knew it would be Heidi minutes after meeting her. She is so easy to be around and my husband and I felt such at ease with her. I was hoping for a natural birth, and it didn't go exactly as I hoped but I was able to get through it with Heidi. I had alot of anxiety about giving birth because it was the first time and I wasn't sure what to expect or how I would react to everything that was happening. Heidi helped me have the confidence to believe I could do it and also reassued us we were doing the right things throughout the process. I ended up with pitocin, an epidural, and the vacuum to get little girl out. All of these interventions were stressful but with Heidi there to help us through it, it was managable. My husband was a great birth partner and I know he couldn't have done all he did without Heidi. The postpartum visits were invaluble! Being a new parent is so overwhelming and knowing Heidi was just a phone call away was so nice. We also love the photos she took during the process. I'm so grateful to have the photos which we wouldn't have without her. All in all, the birth experience would have been so much different without Heidi and I woule never do it again without her. Thank you Heidi!
