Our family had the utmost pleasure of working with Naomi during the pregnancy and birth of our second child. From the start, Naomi was warm and friendly and made us feel seen, heard and held as a family. This was invaluable. Naomi made sure that she knew what our desires were for the labor and delivery and made it clear that she was a quick call or text away and that we could reach out anytime. She was so quick to respond to any question I had and was generous with her knowledge and uplifting words of encouragment. Especially towards those final days when I was very ready to have the baby on the outside, Naomi was a force of positivity and continued to communicate with tenderness. If she were to be out of town or away for any reason, she organized backup care and connected us with said person/s, which put our minds at ease.
When it came time for the baby to arrive, Naomi was at the birth center when we needed her. She held my hand, gave me (and my husband) words of encouragement and was a literal (and figurative) shoulder to lean on. I felt like she read the room and gave the calm, strong support that I needed to summon my own strength as I gave birth. It's hard to put into words the gratitude I have for Naomi. I would recommend her to anyone considering a doula.
