I first met Kelly in 2016 when I was 36 weeks pregnant with my first child. We were late to hiring a doula, but lucked out that she had some availability open up for us. We knew from our first meeting with her that we made the right choice hiring her to support our labor. We felt completely out of our element, but Kelly was with us every step of the way. She is extremely knowledgeable about labor: how to get things moving along, how to work through contractions, how to ease some of the pain, how to help/encourage partners be supportive through labor, but she's also extremely knowledgeable about hospital options: what they provide for labor and delivery and even the nurses and staff at various valley locations.
My first birth experience wasn’t at all what I’d hoped it would be, but Kelly was a steady support system through every difficult contraction, through our eventual epidural, and she stayed by our side through my 23 hour labor.. despite coming directly from another labor just before! When we found out we were expecting a second baby this past year, we knew we wanted Kelly by our side again. Since I wasn't satisfied with my first birth experience, Kelly helped me find a new provider that was better aligned with my birth desires. When it came time for labor, everything moved very quickly. Kelly helped me work through every difficult contraction, hummed and groaned along with me when things felt unbearable, and her unwavering encouragement helped me keep going even when I quietly felt like giving up. She is incredibly nurturing and supportive. She truly feels like a part of our family. We couldn't be more pleased with our experiences with her, nor could we possibly be any more grateful.
