I was able to find Ellie to be our birth doula on such last notice. I feel very lucky and fortunate to cross paths with her.I was placed on high risk near the end of my pregnancy due to gestational hypertension. Right when I found Ellie she was willing to meet with me ASAP to discuss my birth plan but unfortunately the day we were supposed to meet I had to rush to my OB due to very dangerous high blood pressure. Ellie not only traveled to come meet me instead at my OB, but she also sat with me and listened to all my wants and needs for when the baby would come.My doctor decided he wanted to induce me the next day , so Ellie was ready to experience that journey with me. First and foremost, she kept in constant contact with me. She was able to answer any of my questions and concerns before labor. She had all the facts and knowledge I needed to know with all my questions. She was able to communicate clearly to my doctor and nurses my specific birth plan. She made the labor experience that much magical for me and my fiancé. There were times where she was able to make me laugh, she chanted with me, she was able to get me moving when I needed to on the birth ball. She served me and my fiancé drinks , prepared me hot tea (raspberry leaf). She even had chap stick for me, clary sage, massage balls, a speaker to listen to music. She helped me learn how to get through the contractions which we called "waves." She held my hand through the hardest part of my labor, she wiped away my tears and sweat. She chanted and helped me get through it. She was a true gem. She even took the time to come see us after birth, and continues to stay in touch with me this month.I truly am thankful for The universe placing Ellie in my life as our doula because I feel like I also have gained a close friend.i highly recommend anyone to use Ellie/El. She will truly make your labor experience that much better. She is magic ??
