When my husband and I found out that we were pregnant, we learned very quickly that in order to have the birth experience we always dreamed of, it would be incredibly beneficial for us to hire a doula who could support us. After talking with several trusted friends who insisted that MaryBeth was the best of the best, we felt confident in our decision to ask MaryBeth to be our doula. Now, looking back over the pregnancy and the delivery of our son, it is so easy to see why everyone we talked to absolutely raved about MaryBeth. When, at 37 weeks, we learned that our baby was breech and would require a cesarean delivery, MaryBeth was there to ease our fears, thoroughly explain our options, revise our original birth plan, and help us feel confident in our decision to move forward with the cesarean delivery and trust that it was the safest option for both me and baby. She helped me and my husband feel at total peace leading up to and during our baby’s delivery and she truly helped us achieve the birth experience that we always dreamed of despite the fact that our son’s “exit strategy” was the total opposite of what we had originally hoped for. She absolutely went above and beyond what we could have ever expected or hoped for (and our expectations were pretty high after talking with our friends who recommenced her!) We could not be more grateful for MaryBeth’s wisdom, support, and thoughtfulness. She truly is the best.
