I’ve been meaning to write this review for almost 7 months now. But being a new mom, I’m still trying to get my life on track so this has been slipping out and I feel terribly sorry for being late!
Kiona was god-sent for me. I’m very grateful to have found her during my doula search. I started the search pretty late - around 36 weeks. But from the moment we met, she has been a great partner in this beautiful journey to motherhood.
She is a very good listener. She asked may questions to get to know me and my husband better. From the very beginning, there was no awkwardness. Before meeting her, I thought how could I let a third person be in the room with us in this intimate moment. I’m the kind who wouldn’t even allow my mother in the labor room. But with Kiona it was different. I was very open about all my needs during labor. She stood by us in the very long labor of around 36 hrs. Only because of her I could still go through vaginal delivery. I could manage every contraction just because of her. And she was a huge help during the pushing. Honestly, my husband wouldn’t have been able to help me sail through. She was the perfect partner. Not only for me but for my husband too. She even visited me postpartum to help me with my emotions and how was I doing. She is very sincere and knowledgeable. She used many good techniques to keep me calm. I have so many good things to share about her and this space won’t be enough!!
I would say just go with her as a doula without second thought!
