We were lucky enough to have Steph as our Doula for the birth of our second child. After planning to give birth in the hospital for the second time, I knew that I wanted a drug free, natural birth. However, I wasn't confident in my own ability to follow through with that plan. Steph was our backbone of confidence during labour, empowering us with the information, tools and encouragement to have the birth that we wanted. From being a calming presence start to finish, to keeping me motivated during the last few centimetres of dialation, I truly feel that without Steph I wouldn't have had the willpower to carry through with my intended plans. Furthermore, I found it reassuring to have someone on my 'team' who was familiar with the protocols and available tools within the hospital. The birth of our son was perfect, big thanks to Steph!
