Testimonial for Bethany Fessenden
Beth was one of a few doulas we interviewed when we had decided to hire a one for the birth of our son. She was the obvious choice for us. We wanted someone who wasn’t afraid to stand up for us or our baby when it came to last minute decisions in the delivery room.
I had originally planned a drug free natural birth, but unfortunately that didn’t go as planned and I ended up having a c section. Beth was still a phenomenal support for not only myself, but my husband through that whole process. I had to have general anesthesia so my husband wasn’t able to be in the OR with me during the birth, but Beth was by his side the whole time. She was there with him after birth while I was still in recovery to help ease his nerves as a first time dad and a worried husband.
When I came back to my room after getting out of recovery she was there to help me with nursing my son and any other needs I had. She also had a follow up home visit and gave us some valuable information about my baby’s lip tie and massage for gas/constipation.
I will be hiring her again for my next baby regardless of my birth being another c section or a vbac, the help she offered us was invaluable and I couldn’t thank her enough for the support she showed us through my son’s crazy entrance into this world.
