The moment I met Terra at a pre-natal yoga class, I knew that she would be the perfect fit for our birth. Her calm, supportive, and caring personality was the perfect fit for us. Throughout my pregnancy, she made me believe that we could have the birth that we had envisioned. And we did!
Both my husband and I were pretty open and easy going when creating our birth plan. In fact, our plan consisted of two things… to have Terra there and to have the baby. Besides that, we didn’t have many expectations. If it weren't for Terra, our birthing story would probably have been extremely different!
Once Terra arrived, she took our easy-goingness and knew exactly what to suggest and when. From the neighborhood walk to making sure that we ate something, she knew what to say and when to say it. She made me feel comforted, strong, empowered, vulnerable and all the feelings in-between. When we were at the birth center, she was my advocate and there by our sides the entire time, even at 3 in the morning when our baby had already arrived; she was just there to ensure we were feeling comfortable. Days after our birth, she continued to check-in and offer encouragement and support.
