We knew that Kim was going to be part of our birth team the minute we met her. She has a calm and intuitive presence and has a deep curiosity, passion and respect for birth. During the prenatal visits, Kim helped us develop our birth wishes while drawing on her own experiences to help guide us through the uncharted waters. The feeling was supportive, joyful and casual, yet professional and rooted in best practices. I had a lot of questions about birthing positions for pain management as I was planning for a home birth. With her experience from acupressure therapy and the Yoga Way to Birth birthing class, Kim was able to confidently guide my husband and I through some helpful positions and touch therapy right in our living room - many of which we used during my labor! Kim not only served as a doula for me, but for my husband as well. She fully supported our wishes to have my husband be my primary support person but intuitively knew when to intervene during active labor to augment his efforts. After a beautiful home birth, Kim helped us with nutrition and hydration while honoring our first moments together as a family. She held my hand and we laughed together while the midwives sutured me and assessed our new baby. We felt like we gained a family member with Kim and we couldn’t recommend her enough!
