6 months after giving birth to my first daughter with Kelly's assistance, I found out I was pregnant again! Kelly was one of the first phone calls I made. With her help, I was able to forgo an epidural with both of deliveries. Kelly was not only key to having the labor and delivery I wanted, but she was also so supportive throughout both of my pregnancies. When I was losing hope of going into labor naturally with this pregnancy after being induced with my first, Kelly kept encouraging me. When I finally did go into labor spontaneously and was heading to the hospital, Kelly woke up in the middle of the night, met my husband and I on our 30 minute drive and followed us to the hospital, meanwhile talking me through the contractions on the phone. She also worked with the nurses and my midwife ahead of time to make sure the hospital was prepared for me... that turned out to be crucial as I delivered 53 minutes after arriving at the hospital! Kelly's use of her doula magic while I was in transition and pushing at the hospital made it possible for me to stay controlled and engaged I can't imagine ever giving birth without Kelly there to help me through it!
